Tiring Saturday

I just had a chalet with my JC mates this week. Nice to have such stuff, haven't been really interacting with them much. It was a nice opportunity. But this kind of stuff, hai.... We old liao. 27 this year, do less better. Bad for health. Heng only once a year. *phew*

Saturday during chalet, we cooked, Wii-ed, fly kites and BBQ. Now still suffering from the Wii playing aftermath - sore shoulders and arms. I FINALLY GET TO PLAY MY KITES!


Nice? Good wind good weather that day. Winding back the string is the tiring part. Letting it up was easy. Need to get a better reel. =\

After my chalet BBQ, I immediately went for my next activity with another group of friends. I called it the Sunday Weekly. Basically we were like going out every Sunday NIGHT. 1st time was West Coast Mac, 2nd time was Udders Ice Creams. Well, it was still considered as Sunday this time. Sunday 1am? Ya.. It's still a Sunday. LOL

This time we went prawning @ Sin Ming there. Just beside the golf course there. Not a bad place. But we noob lah. We rented 2x rods, and only managed to get 9 (2 were donated) prawns after 3 hours. But it was fun! I wanna go prawning again! Anyone?

After everything, reached back home @ 6am. Nice..... Went out on Friday night 8pm, reach back home on Sunday 6am. In between only slept 4 hours. I'm soooooooooooooooo tired..... but happy nevertheless. I finally got the chance to do 2 things that I've been wanting to do for this month - fly kite and prawning. =)

happening friday..

i think it has been a very long time since i have such an happening day liao.. i'll go thru my activities for the day..

woke up at 3pm... managed to arrange a lombang, thx to mr nzw, down to gombak sports hall for badminton @ 4pm.. shag game...but ya.. refreshing after playing.. but my right arm and my butts are hurting now.. serve me right for not doing warm ups..

then dinner @ alif.. *boring* but got an interesting sighting.. saw daji's father!!! rare sight... before boarding that yellow evo, mi, zw and daji were watching an akido lesson.. hahaha.. quite lame though.. but we were pretty engrossed in watching.. i actually had thot of learning akido last time one.. but ya.. i was a lazy ass, and still is one...

next activity on the list was going to timbre.. my virgin visit there.. wahahahahahahahahaa!! shawn was right man.. the girls there are upz!!! mi and nzw were constantly looking ard when we reached there.. there was a short queue when we reached there.. when they managed to find a seat for us, woot! we got one of the best seats for watching the live band.. it's right in the middle of timbre, in front of the stage..

i had some beer and ale.. (actually... ginger beer and ginger ale.. hahaha.. it's a mocktail.. mixture of ginger beer and ale..) kc came later though.. the band.. eh.. i think so so bah.. singing is good.. but the band behind.. i prefer the one i heard at wala wala - the unexpected... after the first set of songs, the girls which seated ard us were slowly leaving group by group.. then those tables were slowly replaced with either guys-only group or couple.. then feeling sian liao.. so we decided to leave too.. it was 11+pm alreadi.. guess where we went next..

we went to st james!!! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! kc is vip member mah.. so can go in free.. we went in powerhouse.. sian.. music not nice.. and not many pple too... it's not sardine packed.. 1 glance over, nothing much worth looking.. timbre got more.. then we started to explore st james.. running from room to room.. stupid movia and dragonfly full house.. these 2 were the rooms we wanted to visit one lor..

outta all the rest of the rooms.. eh.. nothing interesting leh, except this room called boiler room.. inside got live band playing too.. dragonfly and movia oso got.. but full house.. bo pian.. anyway, ya... actually we first ended up there is bcos we were stalking this yellow-dress-girl.. shhhhhhh!

i think she's wearing a g-string.. that was actually wat caught my attention.. the VPL.. not too sure g-string or thong though.. i saw some vague lines curving in.. but oso not very clear.. it's either thong or g-string lah.. but ya.. i'm an ass-lover.. so i will always look at ass.. i can miss out on the chest, but i won't miss out on the ass, if possible..

but we lost trace of her somewhere in between.. but not bad lah.. i mean the boiler room, not her.. but she's not bad too, BUT.. read on and u will know why got a "BUT" follow behind.. anyway.. back to the place.. the drummer was good.. the guitarist is good too.. basically the whole band is good.. singers so so nia.. but 1 thing abt that room.. as i proceed more and more to the right side of the room, i realised the age group is getting older and older.. on the extreme right got ah pek there lor! white hair ah pek.. pro right?

we resumed exploring st james.. went back to powerhouse to check if it's better alreadi or not.. still the same.. rot there for a while... then went back boiler room again.. hahahaa.. that was the onli most decent room for the day..

ard 3am, i think, we left st james... at the main entrance there, we saw that yellow-dress-girl again! but.. this time 2 things turned us off.. she's with a guy, who seem like her bf.. and... she smokes... so, okay.. enough with her alreadi.. we moved on... supper time!

kc recommended the fei fei wanton mee @ joo chiat there.. not bad.. it's nice.. i like it.. nothing really special to comment.. except the good wanton mee.. oh... lots of LSBs there.. we went into a 7-11 to buy drinks.. saw a humsup guy and a gal walked out... then when we went back to the car and went home.. we passed by a hotel 81.. and saw that guy and gal went in.. wahahahahaha.. as kc said.. the 7-11 there most prob earned most by selling condoms.. and i noticed, when i was inside that 7-11, they have a WIDE VARIETY of condoms as compare to other 7-11s.. no joke..

yup.. that basically ended our day.. mr nzw is a nice guy.. he drove kc home.. fyi, kc lived @ simei wor.. after kc, he sent mi home.. nice guy! in case u didn't who's mr nzw, refer to this post... =D i might want to add another line to that post.. "driver included!" wahahahahahahaha! go see that post if u want to know wat i mean...


note: no photo was taken.. it will be pretty weird for 3 big guys like us taking photo, aka camwhoring, at those kind of places.. no photos.. sorry peeps...

back post on 17th sept - my bday..

went sch as usual.. jap + swim.. the rest are bonus..

caught ji dozing off.. *snap* anyway the lecture sux.. we were all chatting over there only...

after lect, went to swim.. eh.. i lost track how many laps i swam.. but i guess it's 42 +/- 2.. eh.. this is bcos while swimming my 20+ laps time.. got this cute ass bikini babe swimming between mi, zw and jh.. i didnt see the face properly bcos i was swimming constantly..onli caught glimpses of her cute ass.. wahhahahahaha.. then i was trying hard to pace up with her so can swim side by side to see her face.. however, this wasnt a easy feat.. she alternated between freestyle and breaststroke.. so her speed was varying.. hard to estimate the speed i have to swim to pace beside her.. when i finally managed to do it, i think i swam for like 6-8 laps liao.. and i've lost count.. hahaha.. that's the reason..

according to zw, that bikini babe is an angmoh... hmm.. need to swim more on monday liao.. other than that babe, the pool nothing much le.. the usual stripes ang moh bikini babe was there too.. oh.. and a dunno-is-tiong-or-not bikini mm.. we think she is lah.. but she's a good one if she's tiong.. nice bikini and not bad looking.. yup.. that's all..

after swimming, we went jp walk walk... went to toyrus find zw's RC helicopter.. he didn't buy in the end.. again.. told him to get that 230bucks one liao.. best buy le... hahahhaa..

then daji tried to act cute.. *speechless*

ard 6pm + a bit, we split up liao.. jh went off with his gf jiayin, eddie and ji went makan.. i lombang zw's car to clementi to meet up with my swiss gang...

as usual, latecomers is nothing to us le.. sure have one.. when everyone finally arrived, we went to the kopitiam not so nearby.. hahaha.. it's further inside, more inside than botak jones.. that one is last time jh brought the uni gang to makan one.. their chicken is nice, so i thot of bringing them there..

we ordered the 沙皮酥鸡, some 田鸡 soup, sambal kangkong, hot plate beancurd and herbal prawn... the chicken is really nice lah.. the 田鸡 is not bad oso, serving quite a lot... kangkong is those that can hardly go wrong.. the beancurd serving is a bit small.. the herbal prawn they say the soup not that nice...

oops.. pai seh.. forgot to take photo when the food was there.. so all i can show is the ending of the massacre... think the kopitiam name is 881 something.. hahaha..
food - 4/5!

after dinner, we went down to holland v to chill out.. went to indo-chine.. eh.. the beer is 1-for-1 before 9pm! so each pint will be ard 6-7 bucks lidat lor..

i've always wanted to try beer.. so now's the time man! they recommended erdinger.. they say got a bit fruity taste.. sadly.. after 1/3 pint (i claim got 1/3, but fk insisted dun have), i cannot drink it anymore le.. hahahaha.. not that i'm drunk alreadi or wat.. but i know i'm semi-high le.. and i do know when to stop okay.. i'm not a stupid drunken.. but at that time, my face is totally red.. like lobster liao.. woot~ then a bit high.. suddenly become camera whore.. snap snap snap.. some photos are inside fk's cam.. will post them later when i get them...

then decided to do a "act-cute" pose with zm.. er.. he dun look cute at all... and bloody hell.. i look so gu niang/butch... =.="

once again... i'm here doing food review... went to tomton that day for shabu shabu.. the menu for tomton @ central quite limited leh.. i think i prefer the menu @ liang court.. but then again, this place is more for shabu shabu bah.. for those who never try shabu shabu before.. eh.. it's basically steamboat w/ thin slices of meat.. u take a slice of meat, dip it into the hot pot.. let it swim a few laps.. then take out, dip into the sauce and throw into ur mouth! ahhhhhh~ oishii deshou?

they serve black pig pork here.. the meat itself is fantastic.. but the sauce they use here dont seem to be the one we had eaten before... it taste like normal shou yu ramen soup.. they give u some kind of paste for u to mix into the sauce.. probably they want to emphasize on the natural taste of the pork that they used a light taste sauce here? ya.. maybe so.. bcos normal shabu shabu sauce has quite a strong taste.. the pork itself is really delicious, cooked of cos...
shabu shabu - 4/5 (the pork is really good, despite the sauce)

because shabu shabu, we order a rice bowl - kimchi black pig pork rice korean style.. eh.. that rice is nice! hahahaha.. korean style rice is u mix the egg into the hot hot gravel bowl of rice.. we also had a grilled cuttlefish.. THE CUTTLEFISH IS SUPERB!!! really it's nice..

if u managed to get a seat beside the window, that will be good.. the window is veri big and u can see the stretch of clark quay.. if u dine during the night, it might be a mesmerizing sight... their staff is pretty helpful too..

overall - 4.5/5 (if you dun mind the steep pricing)


after dining at tomton, i suggested going nectarie.. since i've done a review on that alreadi, so i'll skipped that part.. but i'll say this again, the cake there is nice.. price is nett.. no gst, no service charge.. woot~ hahaha.. advertising again..

on the way there, i introduced them the Clinic bar... pretty interesting.. but eh.. look a bit suay to dine in such environment.. haahaa..

japanese cultural walk (remake)

well.. this might seem boring bcos it's juz a repeat of wat we did last saturday.. but this time, i was prepared to snap lots of picture to bring more life to wat i've described last week.. and this week, we have an additional of a new member, Sihao (siao).. woot~

although we set to meet at 3pm at PS, that timing was not even close to wat time we actually assembled.. siao newbie to our swiss culture.. and like wat i've told him, we swiss have this special ability - the power to bend time.. in layman terms, rubber time.. yeah.. we can stretch 15min into 1hr.. so as to say, "i will reach in 15min time" in actual fact might mean "i will reach in 1hr time".. nice power ah? hahaha.. and of cos, siao wasnt too pleased abt that.. on my way to dohby ghaut.. on the train.. saw 2 japanese girls boarded the train in yukata!!!
then all i dare to do is secretly took photo of them lor.. humji to walk up to them and request them to take photo, though i've rehearsed the phrases to ask in japanese inside my mind liao.. but.. still humji.. so secretly take lor.. hai.. onli can take backview of the nicer looking one.. she's not bad looking wor.. KAWAII DESU!! wat a start of my japanese cultural walk ah? sorry that a fat neh hand is blocking the view.. she practically took up her standing place + my previous standing place.. kns.. i was pushed back by her lor..

once we assembled at ps, and zm couldn't find the stuff he wants, we quickly proceeded on with our cultural walk. first stop - sunshine plaza... zm juz wont get sick of looking at hobby stuff, just like i cant get sick of looking at japanese supermarket products.. hahaha.. once reach there, upon entering the inside of building, you wont miss this shop..

this shop specializes in selling anime models.. those small models where u just attached the body parts, or maybe dun even to attach anything as it's a one whole piece alreadi..

the figures above is from an anime - Fate/Stay Night.. this is the kind of model i was refering to. anyway, this is a nice anime.. the team that did this anime was the same team that did shingetsutan tsukihime.. both animes were veri nicely drawn one.. and plots are pretty good too.

the next shop is more of a manga lounge.. there's place for u to read manga inside, and it's lots of manga inside.. and the stuff they sell.. more like pple rent a place to put their items there to sell... but pretty good for a nice place to read manga.. but i'm not too sure if need to be member or not.. bcos i never try.. take note of the shop name.. crap~ hahaha.. there's a specialized model shop somewhere opposite this shop.. it sells lots of gundam models.. and of cos some other models u dun seem often in normal hobby shop.. this zm, noticed patlabor ingram 2 (model #2) last week.. and he veri gian to buy liao, but never buy.. this week he wanted to buy liao... TOO BAD!! it's reserved by someone else alreadi!!! onli left ingram 1 (model #1).. serve him right for hesitating! then siao did some more cek ang.. he asked the shop owner when reserved one, she said 1-2 days ago.. WOOT~ it's rubbing salt on wound man! siao and mi had a good laugh on it..

that kinda ended our walk at sunshine plaza, so we carried on to our 2nd stop - liang court.. this time we juz went straight to meidiya..

laiyi said abt sesame dressing for salad... but i couldnt find it leh.. but this is the closest i can find there.. it's sesame paste.. and on the picture i saw the paste spread on top of a salad like dish.. but still dun dare to comfirm that this is it.. so never buy for him.. will need to do more research on it..

the other duo were spending a lot of time looking at sashimi.. juz to make themselves drool as it was alreadi dinner time.. then i joined in the fun. those sashimi definitely look fresher than we get to see in sakae.. hahaha.. but of cos, expensive... finally, we decided to go for dinner..

we went to tomton and tampopo which is inside meidiya too.. this is zm and siao looking at the menu. left side is tampopo, and right side is tomton.. u entered from the left side though.. they are linked..

the speciality of tomton is their black pig (pork)!!! look at the logo, it's cute ah? LOOK AT THE CUTLET!! OISHII DESHOU?!?

we were assigned to the room of the restaurant, i.e. not the general dining area.. more exclusive lidat.. interesting ah? the table is a shallow type with a hole below for u to put ur leg if u choose to sit instead of kneel.. and who would actually kneel.. zzzz.. beside if u kneel, the table would be too low for u to eat.. so sit is still better lah..

we order ramen.. their speciality - black pig (pork) shabu ramen! they claimed that the soup is cooked for 2 days one.. and believe mi, even if that claim of them isnt true, but the soup is damn nice.. it may look spicy, but it isn't.. really.. the ramen itself is veri filling le..

we oso ordered omelete rice too try! woot~ hahahaha.. i've been always wanting to try japanese style omelete rice ever since i watched "tiger & dragon", a jap dorama.. and it's nice too!!! ahh.. the omelete is nice~ and of cos, we ordered the cutlet too.. but eh.. it came later, and i was too busy eating liao.. so i forgot to take a photo of it with my hp.. but i did take using siao's hp..

we actually wanted to order some desserts to eat too.. but zm and mi buay tahan liao.. too full! we sat there.. waiting for my stomach to digest those food and hoping to move to dessert.. but unfortunately, we couldnt do so.. so we left the restaurant, leaving the conquest of the dessert for the next time.. but we did try something else instead.. hahha.. we bought a pudding~ AHHH~~~ that's a craving i had since i watched "my boss my hero", another jap dorama.. those doramas are having bad influence on us sia... we bought this pudding with caramel.. first scope.. put into mouth.. AHHHHHH~~~ I'M IN HEAVEN!!!! I NEVER KNOW JAPANESE PUDDING TASTE LIKE THIS AND GODLIKE~~~~ AHHHH!!!!! u know.. u put the pudding between ur tongue and the roof of ur mouth cavity.. then u go mash it and grind it.. AHHHHHH~~ that feeling~~~ it's simply heavenly.. i believe those selling in tomon might be a level higher! gotta try it next time!!!

leaving liang court, we began to walk towards central, while passing through merchant court area.. spotted a few nice chill out place and dessert place... ahhh.. next time we could try those cafes/bars/restaurants.. they seem goo

before crossing the bridge to the other side of the river, saw this performer.. pretty cool.. but hor.. no one donating lidat leh.. quite sad.. er.. that includes mi too.. =p

when we reached central, we went straight to the "supermarket" as said by mr ng zhenwei.. eh... i think it look more like a convenient shop than supermarket leh..................... though it's called yamakawa super.. hmmm..

then we went to the upper levels of central.. then we saw tomton again!! but then ah.. hmmm.. their menu slight differ.. same to their pricing... this tomton here hor, got shabu shabu!!! but a bit steep.. ard 30 odds after those plus plus per pax...

and this curry udon restaurant.. most probably our next target japanese restaurant to try.. zm has this craze for curry udon.. dunno why...

today we mainly look ard for food lah.. that was my mission by the way.. hahahha.. yup.. and with that, we ended our day at central, and our japanese cultural walk.. hey! if any of us interested in this walk, zm and mi would be happy to bring u through all these again! hahahaha.. i think we'll never get sick of this...

this piece of art.. hahaha.. i dunno.. it captivated my heart.. this is actually made by wayne (my nephew) for her mum (my sis).. looks sweet hor? that day my sister was sick.. and was quarantined in my other sis' room.. so that whole night, her children never got to see her.. then this wayne actually went to make this thing here and placed it in her bag.. darkness moment of the night came and everyone went to sleep.. i secretly took out this piece of paper and took a photo of it.. bcos i really find it sweet.. awwwwwwww~~ he even bothered to ask mi how to spell some words wor when he's making it.. he dun like asking mi things one.. bcos he dun like to give mi a superior kind of feeling..

japanese cultural walk

my 2nd post.. this is abt the japanese cultural walk that zm and mi had today.. hahaha.. we never actually planned it to be.. but we onli realised it at the end of the walk..

we started our day at sunshine plaza.. note: cck-ers.. sunshine plaza, not sunshine place.. it's near selegie there.. zm wanted to see those hobby shops.. those shops that sells figurines, models and anime related stuff.. it's something new for mi.. so for those who like these kind of stuff, u can go there.. quite interesting.. i was impressed by zm how he took so long to look thru everything.. hahahaha.. and of cos that place got the famous parklane wanton mee.. basically we are looking at a lot of anime stuff.. there's a manga shop too.. u can actually sit there and read them.. but i believe for a price of cos.. sunshine plaza is pretty cool for j-anime craze...


our next stop was liang court.. it was decided by mi.. bcos i suddenly thot of visiting the japanese supermarket that i've heard of.. when we reached there.. er... we were actually doubting that if liang court is still open or not.. bcos it's like it's gonna tear down lidat.. some more we couldn't find the main entrance!! hahaha.. when we went in.. er... we couldnt see many shops that are open oso.. hahahaha.. saw the kinokuniya at lv3 or so.. so we went up there first.. wow.. that kinokuniya seems to be specially selling books in japanese.. interesting.. but i dun understand them yet... hahaha.. then we went ard liang court see where can we find the supermarket..

we started walking from top level to level 1.. when we reached level 1, zm saw this cute lady, he went "kawaii!".. he claimed he didnt say out that obvious, but i think it's veri loud lah! and when i tried to turn back and see the lady, she was looking at us liao!! die die die.. so i juz reply a lame one, "oh! that antique ah? not bad ah." hahaha.. that lady was standing in front of an antique shop btw.. and we juz walked away.. zm still thot i got the wrong thing.. but wat he didnt know was that the lady was alreadi looking at us liao!! so wat can i do?! shift the focus point lor!

anyway.. finally we found the supermarket at basement 1.. woot~ it's a pretty nice place!! lots of japan-imported stuff.. drinks, food and snacks.. lots of them!! even got kid's corner with a tv playing doraemon!!! we did stay there a while watching it.. no onli imported stuff.. oso got imported pple!! hahaha.. native japanese.. saw a cute girl, was wondering local or japanese.. there oso got sell bento sets, onigiri and PUDDINGS!!! but i was quite full and not feeling rich, so i bought nothing.. oh ya! got some restaurants down there too.. looks good too.. will try them one fine day.. also, we decided to have a CURRY PARTY!!! how's that pple? wanna come?


our final stop is at Central.. that place got lots of restaurants!! and oso a number of japanese restaurants! Ma Maison, Waraku and er.. a place selling curry udon!!! that place we'll definitely try them too.. last stop is all abt restaurants lah.. so nothing much to say oso lor..


so to summarise this japanese cultural (not really cultural ah? but needa make the name sound nice) walk, u can go sunshine plaza to find those hobby stuff anime-related, follow by a shopping @ meidiya (liang court) and end ur day with a nice dinner @ central. there! hahaha...

my farewell dinner, and movie with swiss

the above text is lifted from my comp club grp blog.. hahaha.. bcos i lazy to retype everything.. the dinner was on friday.. adding on to it.. after the dinner, i met up with the swiss gang pple.. butt and her bf, wy and zy, zm and sihui.. haven't seen sihui for a long time alreadi.. hahaha.. she's a teacher from hell.. from the experiences she told us, the incidents and how she handled them.. really no doubt.. she's a demon teacher! she's a psychotic teacher!!! gotta take note that i needa avoid the sch she's teaching..

then yesterday (today is sunday liao), met up with rene, zm, shawn and ly for movie.. disturbia.. haha.. it's a fairly simple plot.. a plot that u watch trailer u know how the plot goes type.. u know the ending.. but dunno why pple would still go and watch it.. hahaha.. for the kick of it? some parts of the show did scare mi outta my chair.. hahaha.. a funny thing abt this gathering right.. er.. there's a guest appearance by zhuling.. she met up with us for dinner where she didnt eat dinner with us.. and met up with us again after our show.. hahaha. interest ya?

after the show, we walked ard trying to look for a place to sit down and chill out or something.. basically.. anything that shawn suggested right, all closed down le.. closed down as in gone! not close for the day.. hahaa.. think it's a curse of his.. crap.. hahaha.. end up we found some empty seats at cineleisure's food court.. yesh.. cineleisure.. we ended up there.. anyway, we sat down right in front of the escalator.. it's a nice place to sit down.. we chatted quite a lot there.. and also all of us are looking the pple coming down from the escalator.. eh.. we are not pervert.. we are not eyeing on upskirt or anything wrong, okay! we are juz observing the trend.. then we update one another on the trend and stuff.. discuss wat's in and wat's out.. hahaha.. and most importantly, i was looking at girls too.. wow.. i think i'm missing out town a lot.. the trend has changed.. some girls really looks good.. no jokes!

yup.. so that sums up my friday and saturday... things never include in is i sleep, i eat, i game.. that's all.. those are the more interesting stuff..
