Recently I'm back to reading books. I've been wanting to read the Percy Jackson series ever since I've watched Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief



The show might be a bit lousy. But why I like it so much? IT'S GREEK MYTHOLOGY! I'm a total sucker for that. Actually I prefer Percy Jackson to Clash of the Titans. Clash of the Titans is based on the classic and rewrite. Percy Jackson is a new story with ideas based on the classic. See the difference?

Anyway, ya, the story book is better than the show. The show was kinda shallow in the plot, but better in the story book.



It's a 5-books series - Lightning Thief, Sea of Monsters, Titan's Curse, Battle of Labyrinth and Last Olympian. It's books for teenager anyway. You'll probably finish 1 book in a couple of hours or so. I think Hairy Potty books are thicker.

Having finished that series, I thought I might try another story book series. So I tried Twilight last night. Regrets man, I tell you. It's like a girly kind of story. I think my tolerance lasted only until the part Edward took Bella out for hiking, then confession here confession there. It's as if the entire chapter is about them talking about love and nothing else. Yucks! Definitely not my type of story.

Now I need to look for another story book to read. Anyone has any recommendation?

Love: Sci-Fi (non-futuristic type, think Michael Crichton), Fantasy, Comedy, Mystery, Thriller.
Hate: Too much romance, Sci-Fi (futuristic, think Star Trek), Classics.

Secret 《不能说的秘密》

everytime before i start on my blog, i'll do an update on my frens' first.. then ah.. rene alreadi put a post on this show... i'm slow.. i'll try not to write the same content as hers.. here it goes...

upon reaching the theatre, we began searching for our seats.. just then, an auntie, with her daughter, came in oso looking for their seats... she showed us her ticket and seek for assistance.. weird thing is... the ticket is for rush hour 3 @ another theatre.. then we told her that.. she said the counter ask it's okay.. they made amendment on the tickets liao.. true enough, there are some writing on the tix.. the theatre number was strikeout and another was written above it.. but it's the seat that confusing us.. somehow we think that her seats were on on the right side of the theatre, so we told her to go over there.. but the pple on that side told her it's on the other side! hahaha.. wat they dunno is that the seat number printed on the tix is invalid and has to look at the pen-written one.. ah.. her seat was on the right side! and we were right!

another weird thing is... there was this guy sitting in the row in front of us.. he's laughing throughout the whole incident! i dunno why.. but he's like trying to be friendly lidat.. when we talking and laughing among ourselves, he will turn his head and try to see wat we are doing.. er... busybody type...

talking abt the show now.. er.. my body and neck a bit ache after the show.. bcos sitting right in front of mi is a tall tall head with bushy hair!!! luckily, he has a gf.. so he's leaning towards her.. so to watch the show, i have to lean towards the other direction.. ahhh.. throughout the whole show, my body is slanted.. so is my neck.. thus, this explains for my aching..

generally, the show is pretty nice.. i see them play piano maybe doing something of their 2nd nature lidat.. hands and fingers juz kept moving in a slow motion.. kaoz.. are they even human? i asked rene if she can do that.. she cant... haha.. come to think of that.. my other 3 companions, rene, ly and zm, they all have piano backgrd!!! i'm the onli non-musically inclined guy.. sucks.. back to the show.. i would say it's nice.. but 1 thing to take note of lah.. dun think too much.. try not to put too much logic in.. bcos if u do so, u will end up with much more questions.. juz take in the plot and u will very much enjoy this show.. bear in mind.. u might not like the way they talk.. veri irritating.. esp when jay and that girl talk.. i'm a bit irritated.. 4/5..

ah.. now i've become a movie review blog.. zzzz.. maybe i should do a movie and a food blog too.. since i eat alot and i watch a lot.. eh.. not say alot of flicks, but well.. a movie a week like that can right?

my farewell dinner, and movie with swiss

the above text is lifted from my comp club grp blog.. hahaha.. bcos i lazy to retype everything.. the dinner was on friday.. adding on to it.. after the dinner, i met up with the swiss gang pple.. butt and her bf, wy and zy, zm and sihui.. haven't seen sihui for a long time alreadi.. hahaha.. she's a teacher from hell.. from the experiences she told us, the incidents and how she handled them.. really no doubt.. she's a demon teacher! she's a psychotic teacher!!! gotta take note that i needa avoid the sch she's teaching..

then yesterday (today is sunday liao), met up with rene, zm, shawn and ly for movie.. disturbia.. haha.. it's a fairly simple plot.. a plot that u watch trailer u know how the plot goes type.. u know the ending.. but dunno why pple would still go and watch it.. hahaha.. for the kick of it? some parts of the show did scare mi outta my chair.. hahaha.. a funny thing abt this gathering right.. er.. there's a guest appearance by zhuling.. she met up with us for dinner where she didnt eat dinner with us.. and met up with us again after our show.. hahaha. interest ya?

after the show, we walked ard trying to look for a place to sit down and chill out or something.. basically.. anything that shawn suggested right, all closed down le.. closed down as in gone! not close for the day.. hahaa.. think it's a curse of his.. crap.. hahaha.. end up we found some empty seats at cineleisure's food court.. yesh.. cineleisure.. we ended up there.. anyway, we sat down right in front of the escalator.. it's a nice place to sit down.. we chatted quite a lot there.. and also all of us are looking the pple coming down from the escalator.. eh.. we are not pervert.. we are not eyeing on upskirt or anything wrong, okay! we are juz observing the trend.. then we update one another on the trend and stuff.. discuss wat's in and wat's out.. hahaha.. and most importantly, i was looking at girls too.. wow.. i think i'm missing out town a lot.. the trend has changed.. some girls really looks good.. no jokes!

yup.. so that sums up my friday and saturday... things never include in is i sleep, i eat, i game.. that's all.. those are the more interesting stuff..

heroes ruined the day..

eh... i didn't fulfill my plan.. again.. hahahaha.. well.. IT'S "HEROES" FAULT AGAIN!! i watched until 8am lidat then sleep.. by the time i woke up not early liao.. but i did go down lot 1 play arcade with zm.. hahahaha.. never mind.. everything will be ended tonight.. wont drag it for long.. it's bugging my head all the time.. i mean the drama.. I GOTTA FINISH IT TONIGHT! LAST 4 EPS!.

went down lot at 3pm plus.. met up with zm at arcade.. we were there to test out our san guo 2 again.. haha.. we rusty a lot.. er.. we arent that pro either.. so no diff.. hahaah. juz trying to blame on something else.. play play a bit.. well not really a bit. .we played arcade until 520pm lidat.. went over to next door to see those ufo catcher machines.. look at an auntie play those catch sweet machines with jackpot.. see see see.. finally see her win.. then we tried to decide our next plan..

5+ for dinner would be early.. consider that he had his lunch @ 3pm lidat.. and i had mi at 2pm+.. so we need another activity.. go down bugis wasnt a good idea bcos it's rush hour soon.. hate it.. then since cinema is juz upstair.. so we thot why not check out got wat show. ahhh.. today is first day of simpson.. hahaha.. so we check out the timing.. 550pm. and the time 540pm.. WOOT~ so nice.. so we juz decided on it lidat...

it's been a long time since i had such happening day.. sponetaneous decision making.. think the last time was when. er.. before he went aust... ya.. long long time ago.. hahaha.. simpson ah.. eh.. it's onli 1hr plus a bit.. veri short.. it's definitely not worth the weekend price.. but well.. er.. movie still okay lah, if u like simpson.. i dun mind it though.. hahaha.. it's funny lah! hahaha.. u'll juz laugh throughout the show! er.. unless u r rene lidat, sleep during movies.. =X

tml will be lan gaming day! WOOT~ finally! hahha..all of us hand itchy liao.. BF2 is quite fun.. but dunno how long we will be gaming there..

hairy potty... and heroes!

hahaha.. i didn't execute my plan!!! I NEVER GO SWIMMING!! well.. there's a veri good reason.. it's all co's fault.. i hate her!! she made mi gian to watch heroes.. so.. i watched heroes last night.. from late night till this morning.. WOOT~ I'M ADDICTED!!! then afternoon wake up straight away i resume watching it again! i like the plot! it juz keeps getting better!

it's scary.. i juz kept watching it on and on and on and on.. almost late for my appointment.. luckily i reached there right on dot. 7pm.. taking free ride from fk.. yeah.. watched hairy potty.. eh.. personally, i find this time the movie is pretty nice.. dunno why.. i think i prefer this to goblet of fire.. hmmm.. maybe bcos the book was too boring in the starting.. so didnt give mi a nice impression on the book.. the movie, instead, has a better opening to the plot.. ya.. personal opinion onli! dun flame!!

let's see wat am i going to do tml.. dunno if i'm able to swim tml or not.. think should be going arcade with some jiu hu kia.. with or without him, i think i needa make a trip down to bugis tml.. juz realised i have no casual clothing!! need to update on my wardrobe.. from long sleeves to tee shirt.. GO GO GO!! and.. I'LL BE WATCHING HEROES AGAIN TONIGHT!!!
