Expensive weekends...

Cham ah.. I kept saying I want to save money, but I kept going out...... =\

First up, Friday... York Lin long long ago jio-ed us go eat crab liao, and don't know why I said yes too. Anyway, so I did go... Location is at AMK Ave 3 Blk 232. It's opposite Mayflower Sec Sch, I think. The queue was insane, but luckily Mr Cai made reservation beforehand, so that saved us the queuing time.

However, that's not all. You still got the cooking time to wait too. Ho ho ho ho... Don't know why. Isn't this recession time? Why everyone still coming here to spend so much $$$ on simple thing like food. Talking about me eh? =\

York Lin ordered 1x large crab (butter style), 1x med crab (black pepper style), and another 1x med crab (soup style). Then he asked us wanna add more stuff or not, and told us to look at the menu. Naturally, when he asked that, we would think maybe not enough, so we ordered a few more others stuff - crispy tofu, cereal prawn and baby kai lan.

People! DO NOT! I REPEAT! DO NOT ORDER ANY OTHER STUFF IF YOU HAVE 3X CRABS ON THE WAY! And especially you are just feeding 6 mouths. Why? See below.


That's the size of the pincer of the large crab. =\ And the soup one it's like (fish head bee hoon - fish head + crab). So ya, thick bee hoon is inside. And it was quite a big pot. BUT NICE! The butter one is nice too. Black pepper ah, they say Bedok one nicer. But seriously, the crab itself is nice lah.

Damage - 45bucks per pax. I think it summed up to $268.xx if I never remember wrongly.


That's my Friday. Then came Saturday. Original plan was to go in JB. But I got recall manning, so I was kinda not planning to go in liao. After much tempting (news of Garry got Guitar Hero 2), and friends' patience waiting, I decided to go in. Zw went in to import Wii out. Rich guy. Tsk...

Then we went to some restaurant to eat. Leong said that place not that nice, but we wanted to give them a chance. So we ate at there. Conclusion: We know we should go the one further down next time.

Let's see what we ordered. Crabs (AGAIN!), baby lobsters, some meat (can't remember ostrich or beef), broccoli with mushrooms, more or less there lah. Food so so nia lah.. Nothing worth mentioning.

Damage - This one worth mentioning. RM90 per pax. =\ A bit steep IMO.

Anyway, the main highlight was playing Guitar Hero!!!

ROCKS~ I can only play up to Medium nia. Tried Hard a while, cham.. got eye/hand coordination problem liao. After everyone slept liao, I went on and played alone until 6+am =~( I got no life. Rare chance to play this game mah. Must play until song song.

Next morning, Garry sent us out to Singapore and back home. So nice of him..... Awwwwww.... Provide transport there, provide lodging, provide entertainment, and even provide transport out!! So to express my gratitude, I'm helping him to do research on Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band. MUAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!


Now Sunday.. WMW Feb's gathering. @ Citylink's New York New York. I met Garry again. LOL. That one just a dinner though. Details, wait for WMW blog.

End of my last week! WOOT~ Packed weekend eh? And I was actually on recall manning week. YESH! Tomorrow end of recall manning week. Daji and Eddie are next!! Our country depends on them.

I just realised I got 4 followers, not 3 anymore. Yippee!

Regarding work issues, recently went into lull period liao... but.... I know there's 2 projects coming soon. Higher levels are still discussing about the details and $$$. It's like a dam with a crack. Water seems to be trickling slowly and peacefully. But who knows when the dam will come down and water come gushing through. =\ Next week or next next week, maybe it's time for me to work OT again.

As you all can see, I'm still living a pauper life. So that just means no huat. I'm still a poor salaryman. Enough of gambling liao, no more Toto and 4D for now. Don't wanna donate more to Singapore Pools for anymore... for now... temporarily...

Let's see... I think I'm going to start saving $$$ liao.. 1/2 year milestone coming. Think I more or less had enough fun spending so much money. I mean I can go on playing lah, but 1/2 year was the first milestone I set for myself when I got my 1st pay. Second milestone is end of this year. Still quite a long way, so ignore. Start saving next month! I'm going to open another bank account to separate my spending and saving account. Oh... I just ordered a new Dell monitor. xD Dell got offer now, go check out their site.

My 3 pairs of socks not holding much longer. One pair already starting to have a hole. The rest soon. Time to get more socks. But still, I can't find ankle toe socks. Good one, that is. Err.... and cheap.

And yes, I'm kinda free now. Pretty free. Until an extent I can say I'm VERY free. Making gifs and drawing stick figures are some favourite pastimes of mine. And so....

Initially, I wanted to do a banner for the blog. Then I lazy to do so many frames, so I just make do with smaller dimension. Easier you see... Tedious work when you are just using mouse to draw. But then again, I think I can't draw as well using pen/pencil. I must admit I can draw middle finger better with mouse. LOL. My plan - to complete the entire IPPT course. This one is SBJ. I still got sit up, pull up and shuttle run/2.4 (they are the same, maybe one faster frame rate nia). =|

Okay, enough of random shits. Time to move on. *Moved on*

HUAT AHH!!!!

I think a lot of people got sick of seeing/hearing me shouting this over and over during the past few days. It's the 10 million CNY Toto craze you see.... I'm just following the crowd.

I bought $10 worth of Toto myself. Then yesterday I was comparing the tickets. Bo tio.. bo tio.. this one bo tio also.. still bo tio... etc etc etc... hai.............. Let's get back to be a slave.

But there's a part II to this HUAT story. My fate doesn't just end there. I didn't dump the tickets away immediately. I left them in front of my computer after checking. Lazy to dump them, or perhaps I was waiting to see some miracles to happen to my numbers.

Then just now, my dad told me I actually tio 20 bucks! That's Group 6 winning - 3 1/2 numbers. WaHAHaHAHAhahaHAHahAHAA!! This isn't the end of the saga!!! I'm going to "INVEST" the 20 dollars into Monday's Toto and go for it. Don't know my fate was giving me a 2nd chance, or it's just tell me enough is enough and returned me my original bet (no win no loss).

We'll see the conclusion of it on Monday. Until then... HUAT AH!!!!

Importance of Shopping/Wish Lists

It's important to maintain such lists in your blog, webbie, facebook, friendster, etc etc. Just place it where people can seek them out easily.

Why? Because those lists are really a great help when your birthday is approaching. 2 ways - it helps you reduce your disappointment when you receiving gifts from friends; and it helps your friends to swiftly acquired a gift for you. Well.. that's unless you are the kind of people who like surprises (and you don't complain at useless prezzie).

It helps too if you provide a wide range of selections too. Imagine if your wishlist is all lingerie, chances are I (generally guys) can't (don't dare to) get them. Or a Tenga Fliphole, girls pai seh to get for you.

And also variation in prices too. Budget lah. Different People different budget.

Yup. So people, please do so now. Oh... That is if I actually know when your birthday is. Ho ho ho ho ho ho! Can always come in here to drop a msg saying your birthday coming. But my eyes have selective blindness. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!

Crap.. I'm making gift giving sounds so political like that. =\ Oh! I have a shopping list here too. ^^

Expensive Weekends feat. "I got a new toy again!"

WOOT~ I bought another toy again. Cham... Overspending liao.

The Earphone

Free Earphone Amplifier

A new in-ear earphone. Crossroad MylarOne Bijou 4. Not a bad earphone I would say. But then again, I'm quite a tone deaf person, so I'm not a good tester for this earphone. Damage - 70bucks. And it comes with a free earphone amplifier! Interesting eh? I didn't know earphone also got amplifier one.

Bought it from a shop in Adelphi, Jaben. The shop has a webpage too. http://jaben.net/ The boss quite funny. A funny shop too. Beside the audio stuff he's selling, there's fountain pens and bacon salt too. Yes, bacon salt. And guess what, the boss gave us free sample to try too. LOL. The conversation was funny lah. They have good customer service too. Try all you want. They are helpful enough.

Technical and shopping stuff aside, today had lunch with zw, zm, garry, kat and her gang @ Sun with Moon. I would say their lunch is not bad you know. I had the Shogagaki set, and zm had the Saba set. Good food. And filling too. Think all the negative comments I've heard were targetting their dinner menu instead bah. Or is it because Wheelock branch has better food?

After lunch, zw disappeared. The girls went shopping. Me, garry and zm walking around aimlessly. Then we decided to sit down and la kopi. @ TCC. The Azuki Coffee is really nice. I'm falling in love with it. Coffee with red beans. Somehow it just tastes so nice. But note... I'm darn full already. I had 3 slices of prata at 11+. Lunch at 2 lidat. Coffee at 4 or so. *PUKE*

*Missing section - lengthy to say* And now only left me and zm. *Missing section again - nothing interesting* And so we decided to just go Adelphi to check out the shop and see how. Maybe if we are lucky, it might be open. Ho ho ho. It's open! And hence, the toy above.

Expensive weekend eh? Lunch @ Sun with Moon, Tea @ TCC, new Toy... Hai........ I should just stay at home next time. Otaku is cheaper. OTAKU BANZAI!
