Trees good and bad

Singapore plants a lot of trees along the road. It's a good thing, provides nice shades, make the place looks greener, etc etc...

But today I took bus and I got irritated by it. Not say trees' fault, it's I dumb dumb and lazy anyway. The usual bus I take to work is a double decker one, but sometimes it will be a single deck. No idea why, but it's just so. On the double decker bus, I'll sit at those sideway seats. And on the single deck bus, there won't be seats left for me.

But hey! Today there's lotsa seats! So I sat down at the front section, the part where the 2 seats facing each other. That's one of the best seat because of its spacious leg room. Then I realised how bad the choice was. Apparently, the sunlight was projecting in and affecting only my side of the bus. Sucks...

And you thought the trees would help or something right? NO! It made it worse! The trees don't block off the sunlight completely. In between the leaves there's holes, between tree to tree there's gaps. So imagine... You sleeping in a dark room. Then someone kept switching on and off the lights in fast interval. On off on off on off on off on off on off on off on off on off. How irritated will you be? Yeah...

But still, I was lazy to move liao, so I sat there and got irritated myself. Hahahaha... Nevertheless, being well-trained during my NS life, I mastered the skill to sleep anywhere anytime under any circumstances. I still fell asleep in the end. MUAHAHAHAHAAA! But the keypoint is I was irritated, VERY irritated at one point. =\

Anyway, I'm just doing random ranting. Ignore me please. Hahahahahaha! This isn't my first time experiencing this, but it's just that I actually remembered to complain this time round.

Troubling Others Might Not Be Bad

Sometimes, you are actually troubling others by not troubling them. =\ Understand?

Because you think you don't want to trouble people, so you decided to do and solve things on your own. But while doing so, you are actually troubling them in another way because they don't know your progress, and what if no result is produced in the end?

Try to share a bit. Burden isn't all yours. There are people around to take them for you.

Be it at work or family stuff or whatever, don't worry to bother people!!

Hmmmm... Maybe I should start to seek help from my team lead.

Relive the Japan Trip

We actually wanted to meet up on 1st July to celebrate our Japan Trip 1 year anniversary. LOL. But apparently not everyone can make it. So Daji suggested 1 week later, because that was the day Zm joined us. Hoho haha. That's so funny.

During that period, we were in Osaka. And while in Osaka, one of the most memorable experience was cooking our own okonomiyaki. Thus, the dinner shall be DIY okonomiyaki!

Finding a restaurant selling okonomiyaki isn't tough. But to find one that let you DIY in Singapore, that's quite a feat. Luckily Daji managed to found 1 and suggested that to us. Sumomo at Prinsep Street there. Sadly, Zw didn't manage to make it at the last minute, so it's 1 member down.

2. Put the Okonomiyaki Sauce and Mayonnaise

3. Scatter the Bonito Flakes and sprinkle some Seaweed on top of it.

Just to do a quick review for that restaurant. The okonomiyaki portion is normal, in Singapore's price context. 10+bucks mid-range for a normal okonomiyaki. I would say the price is okay lah. Japanese food is never cheap in Singapore. Tsk. But the desserts...... I would say it's a bit too overpriced. Seriously. I tried the green tea cheese cake, it wasn't really that nice and it cost $15.90!!! Ya.... Just go for the normal food. Go try if you like DIY okonomiyaki. 30+bucks in total should get you full there.

Cycling is painful

Last Saturday went cycling at ECP with co, zm and daji. Co lives somewhere near carpark E1 and E2. Prior to that morning, I went to look up on the map a bit and saw a bicycle kiosk at E2 there, so I parked my car at Co's house and we moved off from there.

Mistake #1: The bicycle kiosk is actually quite some distance away. E1 and E2 aren't really that near. -_-"

Mistake #2: That bicycle kiosk at E2 sucks.

Lemme elaborate on Mistake #2.

We went in and asked for the price. The guy entertained us a while, but the price wasn't quite what we've expected. Expensive. Then we tried to ask if we can have discount. He said need to ask the counter people. Alright, so we went over to the counter.

This girl at the counter tried to entertain us, just for a while. Then she asked if we can ask the guy over at the bicycles there instead. Great! So no one wanna entertain us. Me and Zm immediately walked out.

Mistake #3: There isn't anymore bicycle kiosk nearby if you try to walk further down.

This Mistake #3 is a deadly one.

Actually it isn't that deadly if you are not that petty and stubborn. We are stubborn people. *Pointing to myself and Zm* So we die die refuse to go back to that bicycle kiosk, and Zm mentioned about another better bicycle kiosk further down. Lemme warn you guys. The next bicycle kiosk is at Area G, which is DAMN FAR AWAY if you are walking.

The above actually won't be that bad if I've never committed Mistake #0.

Mistake #0: I should have just parked my car at the ECP carpark.

=\

Okay, that should be the end of the complaints.

After we got the bicycles, we cycled all the way to Changi Village, makan, and back. End of story.

Moving towards the Park Connector

At the Park Connector portion

Outside Changi Village

Hahaha.. Seriously, I super duper unfit. Just reached the Changi Park nia, I already shagged liao. I had reduce my speed by 1 gear. And on the way back, I had to reduce by 1 more gear. At the park connector I had to further reduce one more time. Wahahahahahahaaa! Okay... I'm weak. Too long never exercise at all.

Along the Stretch behind the Airport

Surprisingly, the sun was darn strong in the afternoon. So much so for the weather forecast saying it will rain. Pui~ It rained in the early morning and that was it. When I woke up, I was already on the verge of 放生 liao. That dark sky and the nice weather were in cahoots with my bed trying to allure me back into La La Land.

By the end of the whole trip, I realised I've become a lobster. Good thing I've rolled up my sleeves. But my thongs tanline.. thongs that footwear.. the tanline has gotten worse.

Trying to show off how strong am I

In actual fact, it's the bike that's light

Walking back...

And ya... My butt still pain now.. Lousy bicycle seats. Cannot cycle too much, or else my father day will be gone too man...

(Thanks to Zm for the photos)

p/s: now i know why recently all my posts not much photos.. bcos it's really a pain in the ass to upload photos in blogspot.
