melody road...

Was watching music station on crunchyroll.. then they intro something very amazing.. melody road.. it's a stretch of road that "sings"..

what they do actually is put grooves on the road, and er... okay... found a more organized explanation..

"The Melody Road will allow a car passing above it to play a simple tune, which is made audible by ridges on the road’s surface. The pitch of the note created is increased by increasing the frequency of the ridges, and the opposite is also true." - City of Sound.

pretty cool stuff.. watch the clip..

From what i've found out so far, there are three places in Japan where you can melody road, Hokkaido(Nakashibetsu Town), Wakayama(Kimino Town) and Gunma(Numata City).
